Other solutions that comply with FX-18
FedEx® Ship Manager® software has dangerous goods edit checks incorporated into the software, and is an acceptable (and free) method of preparing Shipper's Declarations under FX-18.Other approved software vendors (listed above) also provide software solutions that incorporate dangerous goods checks for preparing declarations in compliance with FX-18.
If your company/business has an in-house software solution for preparing dangerous goods declarations (e.g. proprietary software), you can schedule an appointment with FedEx to evaluate your solution for approval as an acceptable method. Please contact the Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials Hotline at 1.800.GoFedEx for more information.
We encourage all shippers of dangerous goods that must comply with FX-18 to try all available solutions and use the one that best suits your business needs and practices.
Many of the approved vendors for software applications have subscription-based memberships for those who frequently ship dangerous goods and pay-as-you-go memberships for those who ship infrequently.
